This session focused on climate negotiations is a platform for exchange on the issues on the agenda of COP28, in particular on the global stocktake, the just and climate-resilient transition, climate finance and loss and damage. It should allow non-state actors to develop a position paper in relation to the key issues of the Conference of the Parties and the expectations of the populations.
Objectives
Develop together key messages to further inspire appointed negotiators on issues related to just transition, access to climate finance and loss and damage.
Specifically, during this day it will be:
- Share et discuter sur les principaux résultats et enseignements de la session de Bonn (SB 58) et principalement sur les enjeux clés (pertes et dommages, accès à la finance climatique, transition juste.)
- Suggest key messages
- Discuss avenues for collaboration to better prepare for future sessions and better inspire policy makers
Expected outcomes
At the end of this day, the following results are expected:
- A good knowledge of the results recorded at SB58 and particularly in relation to the issues defined above
- Key messages are formulated
- Collaborative avenues are proposed to improve NSA participation at CoP28
