Le Sénégal et les partenaires internationaux annoncent un partenariat de transition énergétique juste (JETP) alliant des objectifs climatiques et de développement. Cette session permet d’amorcer une réflexion sur les transitions énergétiques et agroécologique qui permettent de remplir les engagements pris dans le cadre de l’Accord de Paris, tout en ayant une stratégie d’exploitation du pétrole et du gaz qui n’inhibe pas les efforts déjà enclenchés pour renforcer la part du renouvelable dans le mix énergétique.

Objectives

The objective of this session is to launch a dialogue between the different actors, on the challenges and prospects of the JETP and the agroecological transition.

Specifically, they are:

• Strengthen the knowledge of NSAs on JETP and agroecological transition
• Defines a roadmap to track state commitments;
• Launch the Transitons and Climate Resilience Observatory. Who will be the monitoring tool by and for non-state actors

Expected outcomes

• In-depth knowledge of the JETP and its implications
• A roadmap for monitoring state commitments
• The launch of the Transition Observatory
