The Acceleration and Integrated Management of Climate Resilience (AGIR – Petite Côte) program consists of increasing integrated resilience to climate change for populations and ecosystems, co-constructed with the territorial actors of 11 communes of the Petite Côte. These are the communes of Bargny, Malicounda, Mbour, Ngaparou, Ngueniene, Yene, Popenguine, Sindia, Joal, Saly, Somone.

Objectives       

Support EIPC municipalities in the process of territorialization of climate public policies.

Specifically, during this day it will be:

  • Share l’expérience des collectivités territoriales de la COP 27 ;
  • Discuss the contribution of local authorities to the Senegal NDC;
  • Giving an implementation perspective to the EIPC CFEP developed since the previous phase of the Good Ecological Governance project;
  • Develop a community position for the COP 28 negotiations

Expected outcomes

At the end of this day, the following results are expected:

  • Pathways for the implementation of the EIPC CFEP are defined;
  • Community recommendations are made to Senegalese negotiators;
